Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Singer's Company ("we", "us") collects when you use The Singer's Company Exchange ("the platform"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address and password when you register, and your role in the community (e.g. singer, producer, manager).
• Profile information — the details you add to your member profile: bio, location, genres, skills, services, social links, streaming links and photos.
• Content you create — messages to other members, collaboration requests, community listings, Exchange offerings, reviews and support requests.
• Transaction information — Exchange order records (items, amounts, milestones and status) and payment references from Stripe, PayPal or Wise. We never store your full card numbers or bank credentials on our servers.
• Usage information — basic analytics about how the platform is used, so we can improve it.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate your account and profile, show you in Discover to other members (only once your profile is complete and active), deliver messages, collaboration requests and notifications, process and track Exchange orders and payouts, verify reviews against completed orders, moderate the community (including reports of off-platform transactions), and send service updates. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your messages or listings for advertising.

Who can see your information

• Members can see your public profile, listings and Exchange offerings. Private details such as your exact home address (for hosting) are shared only through direct messages you choose to send.
• Administrators can review reports, orders and account standing to keep the community safe.
• Payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, Wise) process payments and payouts; they receive the information needed to complete a transaction.
• Service emails — invitations and essential notifications may be sent to your registered email address.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or hide profile details at any time, control who can message you, and delete listings or offerings you own. You may request a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion of your account by contacting us at management@thesingerscompany.com. Deleting your account removes your login and profile; completed transaction records may be retained where required for legal, tax and dispute-resolution purposes.

Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to run the platform and meet legal obligations, and we protect it with access controls, encryption in transit and least-privilege database rules. No method of storage or transmission is fully secure, so please choose strong passwords and be mindful of what you share with other members.
