The Singer's Company

Terms of Service

The Singer's Company — effective October 2026

These terms govern your use of The Singer's Company Exchange ("the platform"), a membership community and marketplace open to singers, recording artists, music lovers, and creative professionals across the music business and entertainment industry. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Membership

Membership is open to singers, recording artists, music lovers, and creative professionals across the music business and entertainment industry; membership is free. Applications may be reviewed before activation, and accounts must remain accurate and active. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, misrepresent identity or profession, or endanger the community.

2. Your profile and content

You are responsible for the content you publish — profile details, listings, offerings, messages and reviews. Do not post content you don't have the rights to, impersonate others, share private information about other members, or use the platform for spam, harassment or anything unlawful. We may remove content that breaks these rules.

3. The Exchange

The Exchange lets members buy and sell services, music and digital or physical products. All Exchange transactions must remain on the Exchange. Taking a contact or payment off-platform is a serious violation: offers may be removed and accounts warned, suspended or permanently removed, with a permanent record of confirmed violations.

A 20% platform commission applies to all Exchange service transactions and is calculated on the order total. Service providers must accept the Service Provider Agreement (including this commission and the on-platform rule) before publishing an offer, and each publication is recorded against the terms version in effect.

Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal or Wise. Depending on the payment structure, funds may be collected in full up front or split into project milestones. Reviews may only be left against completed orders.

4. Roles and responsibilities

Service providers are independent professionals, not employees or agents of The Singer's Company. They are responsible for the quality, legality and timely delivery of their work and for their own taxes and compliance. Buyers are responsible for clear briefs and timely milestone approvals. Disputes should first be raised in the order conversation; we may review orders and help resolve disputes, but we do not guarantee any particular outcome.

5. Hosting

Members who offer hosting set their own accommodation terms. Never share a full residential address in public profile fields — arrange exact locations privately through messages — and always use your own judgment and local law when arranging stays.

6. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of the work you create and share on the platform. You grant us a limited licence to display your content within the platform. The Singer's Company name, logo and platform itself remain our property.

7. Changes and liability

We may update these terms as the platform evolves; material changes will be announced in the app, and continued use means acceptance. The platform is provided "as is"; to the extent permitted by law, The Singer's Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from member-to-member dealings.
